Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils that causes pain on swallowing and can lead to upper respiratory tract infection. If not treated, it can result in complications such as abscess formation, difficulty breathing, spread of infection to other parts of the body, or even more serious conditions like rheumatic fever or kidney problems.

Background
Ruhan is a lively 10-year-old boy who dreams of becoming a cricketer, but he has been unable to attend school or play sports because of his ongoing illness. He has been suffering from sore throat, cold, and fever for the past two years, which temporarily improve with antibiotics but then return worse. The doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis, and he urgently needs surgery to recover fully. His family is very poor and cannot afford the cost of the operation. Ruhan’s mother traveled 40 km to RUDO Hospital after learning about Helpster Charity’s free medical services, hoping to get her son the treatment he desperately needs to return to a healthy, active life.
Medical history
Ruhan Sheikh has been suffering from a sore throat, cold, and fever for two years. The symptoms subsided after taking antibiotics, but after a few days, the illness started worsening again. The doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis and advised emergency surgery. Ruhan underwent a successful tonsillectomy, during which the doctors removed his tonsils through his mouth using a special instrument. There was some bleeding, but it was quickly controlled. He experienced pain after the operation and was advised to take medication. He is expected to return to normal life within 5-7 days. Ruhan's mother, Moyna Khatun, expressed relief: "My son's operation was successful. He is healthy now. I am very happy. Thank you, Helpster Charity and RUDO Hospital."
Prognosis
Ruhan's enlarged tonsils are trapping bacteria and viruses, causing recurrent throat and ear infections that significantly affect his daily life and activity levels. Given the repeated infections and his current condition, I recommend an tonsillectomy to remove both the tonsils and adenoids, which will help prevent further infections and improve his quality of life. This surgical procedure is essential for Ruhan to recover fully, return to school, and achieve his dream of becoming a cricketer without the hindrance of ongoing illness.
