Kind strangers rushed her to the hospital, where doctors worked urgently to save her life. Upon examination, it was confirmed that her left tibia and fibula were completely crushed. Her left leg, from the knee down, was shattered. There was no option left—an above-the-knee amputation had to be done. The right leg had a degloving injury. Mitchel, a young girl with dreams and laughter in her spirit, now faces life with a missing limb, the memory of the accident etched into her soul. Her family, already burdened with overwhelming hardship, now bears the emotional and financial weight of her recovery and rehabilitation. This was a very life threatening and if it could have been delayed in management and treatment it could have let to the loss of life of the casualty. The quick response and intervention saved the life of Mitchell.
