Mira Rani B., 28

Mira Rani Barmon is a kind and resilient 28-year-old woman who has faced many hardships in her life. She lives with her large family in poverty, and her husband’s income of only 7000 Taka per month as a potter and day laborer is barely enough to meet their basic needs. Despite her strong character, Mira is suffering from severe abdominal pain, dizziness, and weakness due to her complicated pregnancy. She needs an urgent cesarean section because she is experiencing fetal distress indicated by abnormal CTG, bradycardia, and late decelerations, along with severe oligohydramnios. If she does not undergo a cesarean section immediately, there is a high risk that the baby could die inside the womb or be born with serious health issues, and Mira herself could face life-threatening conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage or organ failure. Her family cannot afford the high costs of the surgery and desperately needs help to save both mother and baby.

The patient, Mira Rani Bormon, was admitted on 22nd May 2025 with a history of pregnancy and poor obstetric history. A caesarean section was performed on the same day, and she gave birth to a healthy baby. Mira Rani Bormon and her baby were discharged with advice on 29th May 2025. Both mother and baby were healthy, and they expressed their gratitude to Helpster and Mother Clinic for the services.

The patient is a gravida 2 at 38 weeks with severe oligohydramnios and fetal distress; if she does not undergo cesarean section promptly, there is a high risk of fetal death, birth asphyxia, and complications such as meconium aspiration. She may also experience worsening pain, decreased fetal movements, and signs of worsening fetal compromise.
