Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

Background
Brandy is a 14-year-old boy who lives in a village. He is the fifth child out of 24 children in his family. He hasn't been able to go to school yet because he has a chronic condition called sickle cell disease. His father works as a farmer. Brandy doesn't have any hopes or dreams for the future because he believes that people with sickle cell disease don't live past the age of 18. It took two hours to talk to him and help him understand that if he takes his medicine and follows his doctor's advice, he can live beyond the age of 18.
Medical history
Brandy was treated and discharged in good condition, but he will need regular follow-ups to ensure his health returns to normal and to reassure him that he has many years ahead. The hospital will monitor his attendance at sickle cell clinics and provide counseling to prevent depression.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
