Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria and enteric fever

Malaria is a mosquito-borne illness that causes symptoms like fever, chills, body aches, and fatigue. It’s common in tropical regions and can become life-threatening without prompt treatment. Enteric Fever (commonly known as typhoid fever) is a bacterial infection spread through contaminated food or water. It leads to high fever, stomach pain, weakness, and digestive issues.

Background

Dauda Aminu is 4 years old, the 7th among 8 children. Growing up in a large household taught him the values of patience, cooperation, and resilience. His background has shaped his strong sense of responsibility and deep appreciation for family and community. Dauda Aminu began feeling unusually weak, with constant headaches, high fever, and stomach discomfort. At first, he thought it was just fatigue, but his condition worsened—he lost appetite, felt dizzy, and could barely get out of bed. With limited resources for treatment, his family turned to Helpster Charity for support. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria and Enteric Fever.

Medical history

Dauda Aminu’s health took a sudden turn—he was weak, feverish, and in constant pain. Each day became harder, and his family grew more worried as he struggled to recover. With limited means, they turned to Helpster Charity at Albisir Hospital. There, Dauda received the care, treatment, and support he desperately needed all at no cost. Thanks to Helpster Charity, Dauda regained his strength and is now back to his normal life. He and his family are deeply grateful for the compassion and timely help that changed everything.

Prognosis

Malaria, if treated promptly with antimalarial medication, usually resolves without long-term effects. However, severe or untreated cases can lead to complications like organ damage or even death. Enteric fever responds well to antibiotics. Without treatment, it can lead to serious complications such as intestinal bleeding or perforation, but recovery is typically complete with proper care.
