Goni M., 12

A 12- year-old son of a farmer who lives in ngongulon. He is playful, and intelligent child who likes chanting with his parent and he aspires to becoming a broadcaster. He is apparently well until 3 months ago when he started feeling right flank pain, Lower back and abdominal pain with difficulty in passing urine. He was taken to a different facility to sought for treatment. The doctors examined him, and he was diagnosed with kidney stone but don't have enough money to pay for his medical bills hence he was referred to UMD Medical Clinic by their community leader for free treatment by Helpster Charity. He requires urgent surgery to prevent the complications such as obstructive uropathy and permanent kidney damage.

Goni is a an 12 year old boy who was presented to this facility with the complaints of Oliguria, dysuria, lower abdominal pain and restlessness due to renal calculus obstruction. Radiological examination findings indicates kidney stone.He was catheterized and planned for elective surgery. Had a successful Cystolithotomy and was discharged on 27/7/ 2025. Patient is now stable and feeling well.

Larger stones might require more extensive treatment like using sound waves to break up the stone (lithotripsy), surgery to remove very large stones, or using a scope passed through the bladder to remove smaller stones. Kidney stones can cause excruciating pain as they move through the urinary tract. If left untreated, the stone may continue to pass or become lodged in a position that causes persistent, severe pain.
