Joynal Abedin, a 3-month-old infant, required urgent treatment for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) in both eyes to prevent vision loss. He was treated with Anti-VEGF injections by Dr. Md Saiful Islam, the hospital’s ROP Specialist. The treatment has been successful, keeping the abnormal blood vessel growth under control and improving the retinal condition. With regular follow-up, there is strong hope that Joynal will be able to see clearly in the future. Joynal Abedin, a premature infant delivered at 35 weeks and admitted to NICU for 4 days, was found to have ROP in both eyes, specifically Zone 02 with plus disease. The diagnosis of Zone 02 plus disease suggests a moderately severe condition with high risk of progression to retinal detachment. The proposed treatment is a single dose of intravitreal Avastin injection in both eyes. Prompt anti-VEGF therapy is justified in this case to suppress neovascularization, reduce retinal edema, and preserve the structural integrity of the retina during this vulnerable stage of ocular development
