Her family, led by her husband Jahangir Alam, a day laborer earning only 7,000 Taka per month, struggles to meet their basic needs and cannot afford the cost of an urgent C-section. Without timely surgical intervention, she faces serious risks such as birth trauma, cord prolapse, asphyxia, or stillbirth, which could be fatal for her and her baby. Their limited income and poor living conditions make it impossible for them to access the necessary treatment, putting both her life and her child's future in grave danger.
Medical history
Sumaiya Akter Sumi was admitted to the hospital on June 12, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on June 15, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child.
