Background
Bashir lives in Bulumkutu Kasuwa ward, and he likes jogging and playing pranks. He was well until 6 days ago he developed fever, headache, anorexia, rigor, colicky abdominal pain and joint pain. The patient had been treated and was discharged on 27th July, 2023.
Medical history
Bashir was brought to the hospital on 24th July, 2023 with the complaints of fever, vomiting, headache, anorexia, and dizziness for 3 days. He was diagnosed with Acute Plasmodiasis plus Enteric fever following investigation results. The patient was treated and discharged on 27th July, 2023.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
