Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Fetal distress is a condition in which a fetus experiences abnormal heart rate or other signs indicating that it is not getting enough oxygen or nutrients, which can pose risks to its health. If not treated promptly, it can lead to complications such as brain damage, stillbirth, or long-term developmental problems for the baby. Breech presentation is a condition where the baby is positioned in the uterus with its pelvis or feet facing downward instead of the head, which is the normal position for delivery. If not treated or managed properly, it can lead to complications such as birth trauma, cord prolapse, asphyxia, or even stillbirth during delivery. Reshma Akter is 34 weeks of pregnancy. Doctor adviced to conduct C- section because of her breech position of fetal. If it delays so, there might be possibilities of death for mother and child.

Background

Reshma Akter, a 19-year-old housewife, is 34 weeks pregnant with a breech-position baby, and doctors have advised an urgent C-section to prevent life-threatening complications. Her husband, Forhad Miah, is a 26-year-old day labourer earning only 7000 BDT per month, which barely covers their basic needs for a family of three, including his elderly mother. Reshma is a quiet, responsible young woman who has faced her pregnancy with strength despite their financial struggles. They are unable to afford the cost of surgery, and delaying the C-section could result in the death of both mother and child. The family is in desperate need of support to ensure a safe delivery and protect Reshma’s life.

Medical history

Reshma Akter was admitted to the hospital on July 07, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and fetal distress. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on July 11, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Prognosis

Reshma Akter is 34 weeks pregnant with a breech fetal presentation, which poses significant risks during delivery. A C-section has been medically advised to prevent serious complications, including potential death of both mother and baby if the surgery is delayed. Timely surgical intervention is critical for a safe and successful outcome.
