Phanice is a 7-year-old girl. She has a hearing impairment, but is cheerful and enjoys being around family and friends. She loves dancing to music, which brings her joy and energy. Currently, she is learning tailoring, and her teacher has praised her potential to become a skilled tailor in the future. Phanice also enjoys watching movies and is particularly good at running in sports. Her passion for learning and her kind nature make her a bright and hopeful presence in her community, reflecting the strength and resilience of Ewalel Chapchap. At the age of two, Phanice's mother noticed her hearing impairment and this led to the separation of Phanice's parents. Last year, Phanice was diagnosed with enlarged adenoids and underwent an adenoidectomy. She has had recurring issues with the same condition and has been hospitalized multiple times until she was recently brought to Tionycare Hospital. After thorough diagnosis and examination there, Phanice was diagnosed with adenoid hypertrophy complicated by acute adenoiditis.

Phanice has cerebral palsy and presented with chronic history of breathing difficulties, mouth breathing, snoring, and episodes of sleep apnea was brought to the hospital. An ENT examination revealed swollen turbinates and enlarged adenoids. She was diagnosed with adenoid hypertrophy and acute adenoiditis. On respiratory examination, bronchial breath sounds were noted. Treatment included antibiotics and dexamethasone—a corticosteroid medication that helps reduce inflammation and swelling in conditions like adenoiditis, improving airway patency and easing breathing. The patient responded well to treatment and was discharged. A follow-up phone call confirmed that she was doing well. Although she still snores during sleep, the apnea episodes have stopped.
