Background
Kansulum lives at Kofa community, and he likes playing kite and jumping. 24 hours before the admission to the hospital, Kansulum developed fever, headache, anorexia, abdominal cramp and frequent diarrhea. The patient has been treated and discharged on the 26th of July, 2023.
Medical history
Kansulum was brought to the hospital on 24th July, 2023 with the complaints of fever, vomiting, headache, anorexia, dizziness, and abdominal pain for a week. He was subjected to preliminary investigations and diagnosed with Acute Plasmodiasis plus Enteric fever. The patient was treated and discharged on 26th July, 2023.
Prognosis
Typhoid fever is typically treated with antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin or ceftriaxone. If left untreated, typhoid fever can lead to severe complications, including the spread of the infection to other organs and tissues, intestinal perforation, and in rare cases, life-threatening conditions such as sepsis or encephalitis. Timely treatment is crucial to prevent these serious outcomes.
