Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections

Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils that causes pain when swallowing and can lead to upper respiratory infections. If left untreated, it can cause serious complications such as abscess formation, difficulty breathing, and the spread of infection to other parts of the body. In the worst cases, untreated tonsillitis can result in life-threatening conditions like rheumatic fever or kidney problems.

Background

Mohammad Sadiullah is a bright and playful 9-year-old boy from a poor village family, where his mother works tirelessly doing housework while his father struggles to find steady income. Despite his cheerful spirit and love for school and playing with friends, Sadiullah has been suffering from chronic tonsillitis for three years, causing him pain, difficulty breathing, and frequent fevers. Doctors say he urgently needs surgery, but his family cannot afford the cost due to their extreme poverty. Without treatment, his condition could worsen, potentially leading to life-threatening complications. Helpster Charity offers his only hope for a healthy future.

Medical history

Mohammad Sadiullah had been suffering from a sore throat for 3 years, along with difficulty speaking, breathing, fever, and cough. The doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis and advised urgent surgery. The surgery was successfully performed under general anesthesia by skilled surgeons at RUDO Hospital, with no complications. After the operation, Sadiullah is feeling much better, although he is still experiencing some pain and has been prescribed medication. It may take 7-14 days for him to fully resume his normal activities. His family is very happy and grateful, saying that the free surgery has brought happiness and peace to their lives. They sincerely thank Helpster Heroes and the RUDO Hospital team for their care and support.

Prognosis

Mohammad suffers from repeated throat infections, vomiting, severe pain, and difficulty breathing. He was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis, caused by enlarged tonsils trapping bacteria and viruses. He must have an adenotonsillectomy to remove the source of infection and prevent further health deterioration. If not treated, his condition could lead to airway obstruction, serious breathing problems, and the spread of infection to other parts of his body, which could become life-threatening.
