Breech presentation is a condition where the baby is positioned in the uterus with its pelvis or feet facing downward instead of the head, which is the normal position for delivery. If not treated or managed properly, it can lead to complications such as birth trauma, cord prolapse, asphyxia, or even stillbirth during delivery.

Background
Mst Mahmuda is 38 weeks pregnant with her baby in a breech position, requiring a cesarean section within the next week to ensure a safe delivery. Her husband, Belal Hossain, works as a garments worker earning only 8,000 Taka per month, supporting their small family of four who live in a simple tin-shed house with limited resources. The family cannot afford the cost of the surgery, which puts both Mahmuda and her baby at serious risk. Mahmuda is known as a caring and strong woman, patiently enduring the discomfort of her condition. Without timely cesarean delivery, there is a high risk of complications such as obstructed labor, fetal distress, or even death of mother and child.
Medical history
Mst. Mahamuda, at 38 weeks of gestation with a breech presentation and signs of fetal distress, required an urgent cesarean section to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Thanks to prompt surgical intervention supported by Helpster Charity and Jamuna Hospital, the procedure was successful, and Mahamuda and her newborn are now in good health. Her family is very happy and grateful for the timely care that prevented serious complications. Mahamuda feels relieved and thankful for the compassionate support provided during this critical time.
