Background
History of Oliguria, dysuria, hematuria and lower back pain for the past 2 months, pain subsides after she took some pain killers. Currently, she was at school this morning when she started feeling chronic pain around her lower abdomen and back pain and quickly rushed to our health facility for treatment. He was presented to U.M.D Medical Clinic with the complaints of progressive abdominal swelling, vomiting and colicky abdominal pain which started about 1 week ago. He was diagnosed of Acute Abdomen secondary to Ruptured Appendix thus scheduled for emergency exploratory Laparotomy.
Medical history
Mohd Sheriff Mohd,was brought to this facility with the complaints of progressive abdominal swelling and pain,vomiting, diarrhea and preceding history of fever for the period of 5 days.Patient was subjected to preliminary investigations and was diagnosed of Acute Abdomen ? cause. He was admitted for emergency surgery.Inta operative findings shows multiple typhoid perforations at the ileum about 14cm from ileocaecal junction.Patient underwent a successful surgery and was discharged on 29/7/25. Patient is now stable and feeling much better.
Prognosis
An urgent surgery is required, otherwise the symptoms will persist and worsen, with a risk of a progressively developing inflammation.
