Abigail is a determined and compassionate 11-year-old who has just completed Primary 6. As the eldest of four siblings, she plays a vital role in caring for her younger brothers and sisters while her parents are away. Her sense of responsibility and nurturing nature are evident in the way she looks after her family. Abigail's passion is to become a nurse, a dream that burns brightly in her heart. She exhibits remarkable care and empathy towards her siblings and family members, often going out of her way to help those in need. Her academic excellence is also noteworthy, having secured the top position in her class during the last school term. Abigail is currently preparing to sit for her Common Entrance Examination, a crucial step towards securing a spot in a reputable secondary school. With the right support and resources, Abigail can continue to excel academically and pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. Since she was about 6years old she has been having severe headache, stomach pain, and several other symptoms but her father just goes around requesting help from neighbors and with the little he gets, he buys her Panadol to suppress the pain. After a few days it reoccurs. This has been the routine for years now and have never been taken to the hospital for an expert's assessment. It was when she went to beg today that they were told about Helpster from a neighbor that they reached us and we invited them to the hospital for assessment and treatment. On presentation at the hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Severe Malaria with Urinary Tract Infection.

Abigail Friday was diagnosed with malaria and complicated urinary tract infection and admitted to our facility. She was pale and sick upon presentation and was admitted for medical treatment. During the first few days on admission, her condition required close monitoring due to the severity of her infections. The child was started on antimalarials, IV fluids, antibiotics, and other medications. After 5 days on admission, the clinical condition of the child improved and she was discharged home in the care of her parents. The family is joyful and glad that their daughter has received free treatment from Helpster Charity. They are very thankful to the charity.

Several complaints connected to long term untreated ailments. Patient would run series of investigations including Malaria test, H. pylori, Full blood Count, Sputum M/C/S and Urinalysis. The PCV is very low and would need urgent blood transfusion. However, prognosis is good with prompt and effective treatment and outcome will be much improved.
