A 14-year old girl from a poor family who goes out to sale sachet water(vendor) to earn some money so that she can support his poor family. She is extroverted and has passion for buying and selling of goods. Her ambition is to become a successful bussiness owner in the future. Saudat presented to this facility with the complaints of Abdominal pain and right iliac fossa pain with preceding history of vomiting, fever and diarrhea which started about 1-week ago. She sought for medical treatment in a government own facility, but she was given some antibiotics and pain relief medications, but the symptoms persist, but she didn't have enough money to return back to the hospital. The parent subjected her to alternative medications at home, but her condition got worst this evening. she was referred to UMD medical clinic this evening by their neighbor whose child was a beneficiary to Helpster Charity free medical services and at UMD he was examined, investigated and diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis. She requires an emergency surgery, a procedure called Appendectomy.

A 14 year old patient was rushed to UMD Medical Clinic with severe abdominal pain, particularly in the right iliac fossa, accompanied by a history of fever and vomiting over the past week. After examination and investigation, she was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. She underwent a successful surgery on June 13, 2025, and was discharged on June 17, 2025, after showing significant improvement. Prior to discharge, she was reassessed and deemed fit for home care. The parent was educated on red flags and instructed to seek immediate medical attention if any signs of health deterioration were observed.

If appendicitis is not treated, it can lead to serious complications, the most severe being a ruptured appendix. When the appendix ruptures, it releases bacteria into the abdomen, potentially leading to a serious infection called peritonitis, which can be life-threatening. An abscess, which is a pocket of infection, may also form. Treatment for appendicitis usually involves surgery to remove the appendix, a procedure known as an appendectomy.
