Background
Fajila Begum, a 37-year-old housewife, is 35 weeks pregnant with a breech-position baby and urgently needs a C-section for a safe delivery. Her husband, Shahabuddin, a 50-year-old day labourer, is the sole earner in their family of four, with a monthly income of only 7000 BDT. They have two children—Sabikunnahar, an 8-year-old student, and Mamun Miah, a 16-year-old who is currently unemployed. Fajila is a calm, patient woman who has endured her pregnancy quietly despite their financial struggles. Without this essential surgery, both her life and her unborn baby’s are at serious risk, but the family simply cannot afford the cost of treatment.
Medical history
Fajila Begum, who was currently 35 weeks pregnant with a breech presentation, required a cesarean section due to her obstetric history and the fetal position, which posed risks such as obstructed labor and uterine rupture. Her first delivery was also via C-section, and given the current circumstances, a repeat surgery was advised on the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) to ensure safety. Thanks to timely intervention supported by Helpster Charity, Jamuna Clinic, Abdullah, and Amulla, both mother and baby are now in good health. Fajila's family is very grateful for the medical and financial assistance that made this safe delivery possible.
