Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Yvonne is a Form Four student who was forced to drop out of school due to lack of school fees. She was previously enrolled at a nearby local day school. She now lives with her sister, who runs a small vegetable-selling business (mama mboga), which barely sustains them with just one meal a day. While in school, Yvonne was an active student and served as the chairperson of the environmental club. She dreams of becoming a teacher someday, but for now, that dream is on hold as she helps her sister sell vegetables to make ends meet. Yvonne came to the health facility with complaints of chest pain, persistent cough, abdominal and epigastric pain, frequent loose stools, and headaches that had lasted for three days. She delayed seeking medical care due to financial constraints, as they were unable to afford treatment earlier.
Medical history
Three days ago, Yvonne began experiencing chest pain, persistent coughing, abdominal and epigastric pain, loose stools, and headaches. She was brought to the health facility for evaluation. Laboratory investigations were conducted, including a random blood sugar test (RBS 3.7), malaria blood slide (BS), and H. pylori test, all of which were negative. Based on her clinical presentation and test results, she was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and gastroenteritis. Yvonne was admitted and started on antibiotics along with other supportive treatments. Over the course of her management, she responded well to therapy. Once her condition stabilized and she had fully recovered, she was discharged home.
Prognosis
The condition was treated if the condition could have not been treated it could have been resulted to complications:respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and Lung abscesses which can lead to use of machines or death and G.E can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.
