Background
Tafsin, a 17-year-old boy from Narayanganj, lives happily with his parents in a tin shed house, dreaming of becoming a businessman like his family hopes. His father, Mohammad Hossain, works as a tailor and is the sole breadwinner, earning only enough to support the family’s basic needs. Recently, Tafsin fell seriously ill and needed urgent medical treatment, but his family could not afford the high costs due to their limited income. Without proper treatment, Tafsin risks developing severe complications that could be life-threatening.
Medical history
Tafsin, a 17 -year-old boy, was suffering from acute Viral Hepatitis. He required emergency hospitalization due to severe vomiting, abdominal pain, anorexia, fever, and yellowish discoloration of her sclera, mucous membranes, and skin. Tafsin was admitted on 16/06/25, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 21/06/25. Tafsin was treated conservatively, and thankfully, he is now doing well and back home with a bright smile. His family is incredibly happy to have her safe and sound! Prognosis
Tafsin is diagnosed with acute viral hepatitis, presenting with vomiting, fever, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Immediate supportive care and antiviral therapy are essential to prevent progression to liver failure or multi-organ failure, which can be life-threatening if not promptly treated.
