Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Dermoid cysts are the most common orbital/periorbital tumors found in the pediatric population. They are slow growing, cystic masses, lined by skin and filled with oil and old skin cells.

Background
Grace, a 9 year old girl, has a swelling on the left eyelid which has been growing bigger over time. Doctors are worried that the swelling may later exert pressure on her eye and and this may interfere with her vision. The jovial and ever-smiling girl would like to be a nurse when she grows up. She reports that it is occasionally painful. Some children laugh at her because of the swelling and this makes her feel bad and lowers her self esteem. er favorite subject in school is home science because they learn how to cook different meals.
Medical history
The child was reviewed and found to have a dermoid cyst. Dermoid cyst excision was done successfully and the patient was stable on discharge, on the 25th of August 2023.
Prognosis
Grace needs to go through the surgical excision of the mass with a lot of care and precision, so as not to interfere with the eyeball. If not treated, the cyst may grow, cause pain and discomfort, lead to inflammation and, in the worst case, eye damage. Admission date - 11. August 2023.
