Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria + rti + dysentery
Malaria is a mosquito-borne parasitic disease that causes fever, chills, body aches, and weakness. It can become severe if not treated promptly and is common in tropical regions. Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) refers to infections of the airways, such as the throat, lungs, or sinuses. It presents with symptoms like cough, sore throat, runny nose, chest pain, and sometimes fever or difficulty breathing. Dysentery is an intestinal infection, usually caused by bacteria or parasites, leading to diarrhea with blood and mucus, abdominal pain, and dehydration. It spreads through contaminated food or water and requires prompt treatment.

Background
Zainab is the first child that came into the lives of her parents two years ago. The joy in their hearts knows no bounds. The parents are living in a community thrilled with poverty, but Zainab always makes them remember how rich they feel seeing her in their lives. About a week ago, Zainab started passing out watery stool as well as rejecting food, she doesn't look lively, and the parents thought to take her to the pharmacist. All efforts seemed abortive until Helpster came to the rescue. On presentation at our hospital, Zainab was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria, Respiratory Tract Infection and Dysentry.
Medical history
A 2-year-old female child presented with complaint of dysentery, runny nose, noisy breathing as well as low appetite. On examination and laboratory investigations of blood, she was diagnosed with dysentery, malaria and respiratory tract infection. She was commenced treatment with injection antimalarials, injection antibiotics and other supportive care. Patient became stable and was discharged after full recovery, she is to be back for follow up after a period of one week. They extent gratitude to Helpster Charity for the support.
Prognosis
For malaria, treatment should begin early using effective antimalarial drugs. Delayed care, however, can lead to serious complications like cerebral malaria, anemia, or death—especially in children and pregnant women. Prevention through mosquito control remains essential. In respiratory tract infections (RTIs), the prognosis is usually favorable, especially for upper RTIs like colds and sore throats, which often resolve on their own. Lower RTIs, such as pneumonia or bronchitis, may require antibiotics or hospital care in severe cases, especially for the elderly or immunocompromised. For dysentery, the outcome is positive with early hydration and antibiotics (for bacterial causes). If untreated, it can lead to severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, or intestinal damage. Doctors emphasize clean water, hygiene, and rapid treatment as key to recovery and prevention.
