Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Jonathan David lives with his parents. He is 7years old and in Primary 2 at Anoited International School. Meet Jonathan David, a bright-eyed 7-year-old who's full of life and dreams. This Primary 2 student at Anoited International School aspires to become a doctor one day, inspiring hope and excitement in those around him. However, Jonathan's future is now uncertain due to a suspected liver infection that's left him bedridden and in pain. Jonathan loves playing football with his friends, laughing, and running around with abandon. But for weeks now, he's been unable to join in on the fun, his usual energy and enthusiasm replaced by quietness and sickness. The pain and discomfort have taken a toll on his little body, leaving him too weak to participate in the activities he loves. Jonathan's parents, though struggling to make ends meet, are worried sick about their child's condition. They're anxious about the potential consequences of delayed treatment and the impact it could have on Jonathan's future. As parents, they want the best for their child, and the thought of Jonathan's dreams being threatened is unbearable. Jonathan's story is a heart-wrenching reminder of the fragility of childhood and the importance of timely medical care. We're reaching out for support to help this young boy get the treatment he needs to overcome his illness and reclaim his childhood. With your help, Jonathan can receive the medical attention he requires and continue to chase his dreams of becoming a doctor. Let's come together to give him a fighting chance at a healthy and happy future. He was well until he developed fever, abdominal distension, passage of loose stool, and body weakness. He was brough to our hospital for help as they cannot afford the cost of care. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and investigated with diagnosis confirmed to be Severe Malaria, Chest and Gastrointestinal Sepsis.
Medical history
Jonathan was diagnosed with Severe Malaria and admitted to our facility. During the first 2 days when the child was on admission for severe malaria, his condition looked very bad due to delay in getting him to the hospital. The child was started on Intravenous Antimalarials, Antibiotics, infusions, and other medications. After 5 days on admission, the clinical condition of the child improved and he was discharged home in the care of his parents. The family is joyful and glad that their son have received free treatment from Helpster Charity. They are very thankful to the charity.
Prognosis
Severe malaria and sepsis although can be quite threatening, however with prompt and appropriate treatment, the prognosis is good.
