Background

Awari is a 10-year-old child from poor home. He is joyful and enjoys playing with friends. He is the third born in the family of five, his father died when he is 5 years old living with his mother and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He has a dream to become an engineer in the future. She was presented with the History of Oliguria, dysuria and lower back pain for the past 6 months, pain subsides after he took some pain killers. Early he started feeling chronic pain around his lower abdomen and back pain and quickly rushed to our health facility for treatment. He was subjected to preliminary investigations and diagnosed Bladder Stone.

Medical history

Awari Bukar,a 10-year-old boy, presented with a history of Oliguria ,dysuria, hematuria accompanied by lower back pain since 6 months. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Cystolithiasis(bladder stone).He underwent successful Cystolithotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care. Baba recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Prognosis

Treatment of larger bladder stones may require procedures such as lithotripsy (breaking the stones into smaller pieces using sound waves) or surgical removal. Additionally, measures to prevent the recurrence of bladder stones may include dietary changes, increased fluid intake, and addressing underlying conditions that contribute to stone formation.
