Jael is a very promising child when it comes to academics. Though the parents are struggling financially. She runs her mother's errands with so much joy. She is a very cheerful child. Jael became weak a few days ago, she stopped playing with other kids as she always complains of lower abdominal pains, high body temperature and rejection of food. She presented with abdominal pains, fever, headache, and passage of loose stools. She was evaluated and diagnosed with Respiratory Tract Infection and Malaria.

Jael was brought to Albishir clinic for lack of funds, they were under Helpster's criteria for help and were well attended to by the team of medical professionals at the hospital. The doctor evaluated Jael and she was diagnosed with malaria and respiratory tract infection. Antimalarials and antibiotics was prescribed with other supportive medications was administered to Jael. After some hours there was positive results from the medications. There was joy in the mother’s heart. She thanked Helpster Charity for extending help to her daughter. They were discharged after the doctor was satisfied with her recovery. They were advised to take the oral medications without any change. Time for follow-up was slated for them accordingly.

Malaria: If diagnosed early and treated promptly, the prognosis is very good in a 7-year-old like the case of Jael. However, delayed treatment can lead to severe complications like anemia or cerebral malaria, especially with P. falciparum. With proper care, most children recover fully. Respiratory Tract Infections (RTIs): Most RTIs in children are mild and self-limiting, especially viral ones like colds. Bacterial infections, like pneumonia, can be serious but respond well to antibiotics. With timely treatment, the outcome is generally addressed.
