Adamu is a 5-years-old primary 1 student, the only child of the family whose parent are very poor. They largely depend on humanitarian support to earn a living. History of Oliguria, dysuria, hematuria and lower back pain for the past y months, pain subsides after he took some pain killer. This morning, he was presented to this facility with urinary retention and was subjected to Radiological examination which revealed indwelling bladder stone. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Bladder stone

Adamu Usman,a 5-year-old boy, presented with a history of Oliguria ,dysuria, hematuria accompanied by lower back pain for the past 3 months. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Cystolithiasis(bladder stone).He underwent successful Cystolithotomy surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care. Adamu recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities. We appreciate the timely intervention by Helpster and the UMD Medical team.

Treatment of larger bladder stones may require procedures such as lithotripsy (breaking the stones into smaller pieces using sound waves) or surgical removal. Additionally, measures to prevent the recurrence of bladder stones may include dietary changes, increased fluid intake, and addressing underlying conditions that contribute to stone formation.
