Judith is 2 years old. She is the second child among 2 kids. The day Judith came into the lives of her parent's; the joy cannot be over emphasized. The parents wish there is another way to send Judith to a very good school. As Judith started losing weight, the mother noticed there was some rashes on her skin as well as itching to some extent. It is from there that the parents started struggling to find a solution to this condition. On presentation at our hospital, she complained of fever, vomiting, passage of watery stool, and abdominal pains. She was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria and Enteric Fever.

On reaching Albishir Clinic and Maternity. Judith was presented to the doctor for evaluation, she was looking weak, rejecting food and having fever. Tests was carried out and Malaria was positive and enteric fever. The doctor's prescription was on antimalarials and antibiotics with other supportive medications. She was immediately administered these medications. After four hours Judith began to show positive signs to treatment. She became eager to eat. This made the mother happy. They remained at the hospital for further observations for days. She was fully recovered and the doctor advised them to properly give food that contains nutrients as this will combat any other disease against her but more importantly sleeping under a treated mosquito net is prior and keeping a good hygiene in the environment can combat mosquitoes from spreading the disease respectively.

Malaria a serious but treatable disease when diagnosed early; without prompt care, it can lead to complications like cerebral malaria or organ failure. Enteric fever is also manageable with antibiotics, but if left untreated, it can cause intestinal perforation or prolonged illness. With timely diagnosis, proper medication, and supportive care, the prognosis for both conditions is generally favorable, especially in healthy individuals.
