Ibrahim Zachariah is a 1 year old boy and the youngest of four siblings. A happy and playful child, he brings joy to his parents every day, sharing laughter and special moments with his older brothers and sisters. His bright smile and loving nature make him a cherished member of the family. Despite the financial hardship, the parent ensure they meet his end needs. Ibrahim became ill when he started having high fevers that came and went, leaving him weak and irritable. He lost interest in feeding, cried often, and became increasingly tired. At the same time, he developed an upset stomach with frequent, watery stools, making him dehydrated and restless. These signs worried his parents, prompting them to seek medical help as his condition worsened. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria, Enteric Fever, and Diarrhea.

Ibrahim was brought to the hospital when his fever, dehydration, and weakness became serious. The medical team quickly started him on the right treatments for malaria, enteric fever, and dehydration, providing IV fluids and supportive care to help him regain strength. Gradually, he began to recover his fever subsided, appetite returned, and he started playing and smiling again. If there is early and appropriate medical intervention including targeted antimicrobial therapy, fluid and electrolyte replacement, and supportive care the prognosis for malaria, enteric fever, and associated diarrhea is generally favorable. Most patients recover fully within a week or two, with minimal long‑term complications. However, delayed or inadequate treatment may result in serious complications such as dehydration, shock, or multi‑organ involvement, underscoring the importance of timely medical attention and monitoring.
