Khaleda Khatun, a 25-year-old housewife, is 38 weeks pregnant and needs an urgent C-section due to her previous cesarean delivery. Her family, led by her husband Jakir Hossain, a day laborer earning only 7,000 Taka per month, struggles to meet their basic needs and cannot afford the cost of the surgery. Without prompt surgical intervention, Khaleda faces serious risks such as uterine rupture, severe bleeding, or even death, which could also threaten her newborn Riyad’s life. Their financial hardship and limited resources make it impossible for them to access the necessary treatment, putting both mother and child in grave danger.
Medical history
Mst Khaleda Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 21, 2025, with a diagnosis of Oligohydramnois. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on June 25, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. Prognosis
