Sikha Rani, a 31-week pregnant woman, is facing a dire situation as her doctor has strongly advised a C-section to ensure her safety and that of her unborn child. Her family, consisting of her husband Kisin Chandra, a struggling farmer, and their young son Nirob, earn only 8,000 rupees a month, which is barely enough to meet their basic needs. With a small tin house and limited resources, they cannot afford the high costs of the surgery, and her husband's income as a day laborer makes it impossible to cover the expenses. If Sikha Rani does not receive the necessary treatment promptly, she risks developing life-threatening complications such as postpartum hemorrhage, infection, or placental abruption, which could lead to severe bleeding or even death. Additionally, delaying the C-section could result in premature birth complications for the baby, including respiratory issues or developmental problems. Their limited means leave them helpless in the face of this urgent medical emergency.

The patient, Sikha Rani 2nd gravida at with a previous cesarean history, was admitted to City Clinic on 4th August 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 8th August 2025 with proper postnatal advice. If Sikha Rani does not undergo the recommended C-section, she faces a high risk of uterine rupture, severe hemorrhage, and maternal death, while her unborn baby could suffer from fetal hypoxia or preterm complications that may lead to neonatal mortality. Without timely surgical intervention, both mother and child are at significant risk of life-threatening conditions.
