Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Meet Aaron Abraham, a fragile 9-month-old infant who's battling for survival against all odds. Born to a teenage mother who's barely out of her teens herself, Aaron's life has been a struggle from the very beginning. When Aaron's father learned about his health condition, he vanished, leaving the young mother to care for their vulnerable child alone. But Aaron's mother refused to give up. With the loving support of her parents, who've taken on the role of caregivers, she's fighting to give her child the best possible chance at life. Despite the grandparents' retirement income and best efforts, Aaron's medical needs are going unmet. Without prompt treatment, his chances of survival are slim. This little fighter's life hangs precariously in the balance, and every passing day brings new challenges. Aaron's story is a heart-wrenching reminder of the fragility of life and the power of love. His mother and grandparents are doing everything they can, but they need help. On presentation at our hospital, he was reviewed by the Neurologist, had some investigations including imaging done, and he was diagnosed with Congenital Hydrocephalus and Cataract.
Medical history
"Aaron Abraham, a 9-month-old male, was treated for severe hydrocephalus with emergency VP shunt insertion after his condition deteriorated. Despite initial slight improvement in consciousness, he developed respiratory distress and high-grade fever. Unfortunately, his condition continued to deteriorate, and he passed away despite resuscitation efforts."
Prognosis
The doctor diagnosed Aaron with Congenital Hydrocephalus and cataracts. The brain CT scan confirmed communicating hydrocephalus and brain atrophy. Surgery is likely necessary to relieve pressure, but the prognosis depends on the surgery's success and extent of brain damage.
