Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Mst Morjina Begum is 38 weeks of single viable pregnancy with breech position. Breech presentation is a condition where the baby is positioned in the uterus with its pelvis or feet facing downward instead of the head, which is the normal position for delivery. If not treated or managed properly, it can lead to complications such as birth trauma, cord prolapse, asphyxia, or even stillbirth during delivery.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Mst. Morjina Begum, a 40-year-old housewife, lives in extreme hardship with her husband, Shofiqul Islam, a 43-year-old day laborer earning only 7,000 BDT per month. They share a small home with their 8-year-old daughter, Sumaiya Khatun, and 70-year-old mother-in-law, Aklima Begum, who is unable to work. Morjina is 38 weeks pregnant with a breech-position baby with low foetal movement, a dangerous condition that, if untreated, can lead to birth trauma, cord prolapse, or even stillbirth. Despite her kind heart and love for gardening, the family cannot afford the urgent medical care she needs. Without treatment, both Morjina and her unborn child are at serious risk, which would leave the family devastated and struggling to survive without her.

Medical history

Mst Morjina Begum Shahinur Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 26, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on June 30, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, Bablu Abdullah, and Amulla for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Prognosis

Breech presentation, where the baby's bottom or feet are positioned to deliver first instead of the head, is associated with several risk factors, including prematurity, multiple gestations, uterine abnormalities (like fibroids or abnormal shape), placenta previa, and fetal malformations or conditions. That's why it is needed to conduct C- Section.
