When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About malaria + rti
Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by Plasmodium parasites, transmitted through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. It typically presents with fever, chills, sweating, headache, and body aches. If untreated, it can lead to severe complications like cerebral malaria, anemia, and organ failure. It is most common in tropical and subtropical regions. Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) refers to any infection affecting the upper or lower parts of the respiratory system, such as the nose, throat, windpipe, or lungs. Common symptoms include cough, sore throat, runny nose, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. RTIs can be viral (like the flu) or bacterial (like pneumonia), varying in severity. Early diagnosis and treatment help prevent complications, especially in vulnerable individuals.

Background
Khadijah is the second child among 5 children, she is living with her parents, she always runs her mother's errands and she was enrolled into the primary school just recently. She is loved by all in their little community. She suddenly developed fever, accompanied with vomiting, headache, cough as well as chest pain. She has been rejecting food for about a day now. On presentation at our hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria and Respiratory Tract Infection.
Medical history
Khadijah was brought to Albisbir Hospital with symptoms of malaria. She was diagnosed with severe Malaria and Respiratory Tract Infection. With the support of Helpster Charity, she received urgent and intensive treatment, including antimalarial drugs, antibiotics, and supportive care. Her condition gradually stabilized, and after a few days of close monitoring, she made a full recovery.
Prognosis
The doctor views malaria as a serious parasitic disease that, with early diagnosis and proper antimalarial treatment, usually has a favorable outcome, though severe forms can be life-threatening. Respiratory tract infections (RTIs) range from mild viral colds to serious bacterial infections like pneumonia, and prognosis depends on the cause and patient’s immune status. Both conditions demand prompt treatment to prevent complications such as organ failure in malaria or lung damage in RTIs.
