Zainab is an active child who's said to be having good developmental milestone. Always wants to be with her mother. Zainab presented with a 3-day history of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Her parents also reported a decline in her activity and feeding. On presentation at our hospital, after evaluation, his pulse, temperature, and respiration rates were all high. She has reduced air entry into the lungs and was diagnosed with Pneumonia (Infection of the Lungs).

Zainab was admitted in our facility with complaints fever, cough, shortness of breath, decreased activity level and appetite. After proper evaluation, she was diagnosed with Bronchopneumonia. She had her complete dosages of parenteral Antibiotics and analgesics. She was also rehydrated with IV fluids. As the treatment progressed, she responded well as evidenced by resolving of her admitting symptoms. She was then discharged home with oral medications following the improvement of her condition.

Pneumonia is curable by appropriate antibiotics and other supporting medications. With adequate an prompt treatment, most patients achieve full recovery, but when left unattended to it can cause complications like pleural effusion, respiratory compromise which can be life threatening.
