Severe pneumonia -Infection that inflames air sacs in one or both lungs, which may fill with fluid. With pneumonia, the air sacs may fill with fluid or pus. The infection can be life-threatening to anyone, but particularly to infants, children and people over 65. Symptoms include a cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills and difficulty breathing. Antibiotics can treat many forms of pneumonia. Some forms of pneumonia can be prevented

Background
Arnold lives at home with his mother and enjoys playing with his friends in the village. Occasionally, he accompanies his mother to the market where they sell fried groundnuts. Arnold is not currently attending school. He developed a cough, runny nose, high-grade fever, and difficulty in breathing. His condition worsened over time because his mother was unable to take him to the hospital promptly. She initially tried using over-the-counter medications, but his breathing became increasingly labored. It was at that point that she decided to bring him to the hospital for medical attention.
Medical history
Arnold opino was examined tested and found to be suffering from severe pneumonia.He was treated with antibiotics and painkillers and now he's doing well and back to his normal activities . His mother is very happy and she says thank you helpster charity for paying bills for my son.
Prognosis
If the treatment is initiated on time the child's condition will improve greatly and when left untreated the child can die due to complications
