Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Shadrack is a 4-year-old boy admitted with severe malaria. He is a partial orphan, having lost his father in 2022. He lives with his mother and siblings in a single rented room. Following his father’s death, the family was expelled from their ancestral home, and relatives have since withdrawn all support, forcing them to endure a difficult life sustained only by well-wishers. Four days prior to admission, he developed vomiting of sudden onset, progressively worsening over time. He experienced about four postprandial episodes daily, which were non-projectile and not blood-stained. He also had gradually worsening generalized body weakness accompanied by fever. In addition, he developed a dry cough not associated with chest pain, breathing difficulties, or chest congestion.
Medical history
Shadrack was diagnosed severe pneumonia and Malaria. He was given antimalarial drugs, antibiotics and rehydrating fluids. As he started feeling better, he was discharged from the hospital to continue his treatment at home.During the check-up call, the Helpster volunteer heard from a happily mother that shadrack is now fully recovered and back to his normal life and also goes to school as usual
Prognosis
Shadrack, who was admitted with severe anemia, severe pneumonia, and malaria, has shown significant improvement under treatment. His current progress is encouraging, and with continued medical care, nutritional support, and close follow-up, he is expected to make a good recovery. Prognosis is good
