Modu A., 7

Modu is a 7-year-old who leaves with his senior brother he did not attend a school, and his dream is just to be educated to become a lecturer. He was diagnosed of left inguinal scrotal swelling in different health facility about 3 years ago, but the family cannot afford the cost of treatment due to poverty. Initially, the size is small but gradually is getting bigger, there is feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the scrotum. On presentation at our hospital, Modu was evaluated and diagnosed with Hydrocele and requires treatment.

Modu Abatcha,a 7-year-old boy, presented with a history of scrotal swelling since 3 years accompanied by feeling of heaviness, discomfort and scrotal pain. After thorough evaluation and investigation, he was diagnosed with Hydrocele.He underwent successful surgery without immediate complications. Due to the nature of his condition, he was admitted for 3 days for close monitoring and post-operative care. Ali recovered well and was discharged home after 3 days, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for 1 week. Currently, he is doing well, has fully recovered, and has resumed his regular activities.
