When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Peptic Ulcer Disease, Malaria + Enteric Fever, Anemia and Conjunctivitis PUD (Peptic Ulcer Disease) is a condition where sores form in the lining of the stomach or upper intestine, causing burning pain and indigestion. Malaria + Enteric Fever is a co-infection that results in high fever, chills, weakness, and abdominal discomfort due to mosquito-borne parasites and bacterial infection. Anemia is a shortage of healthy red blood cells, leading to fatigue, dizziness, and pale skin. Conjunctivitis is an eye inflammation that causes redness, itching, and discharge, usually from infection or irritation.

Background
Ummi Mohammed is a 19 year old girl living in the densely populated and poor neighborhood of Gwange in Maiduguri. Despite the challenges around her, she remains hopeful and committed to learning. She currently attends Islamiyya, where she studies Islamic teachings, and dreams of going to formal school one day. Ummi plays a vital role in her household, helping her parents by caring for her younger siblings. Though life is tough, she faces each day with quiet strength, faith, and the hope of building a better future for herself and her family. Ummi Mohammed began to feel unwell when both of her eyes turned red and itchy. Soon after, she developed a fever, a constant runny nose, and a dry cough that left her feeling tired and weak. She also complained of sharp pain in her upper abdomen, which made it hard for her to eat or sleep. As the symptoms worsened, Ummi could no longer attend Islamiyya or care for her younger siblings as she usually did. Her condition grew more serious, prompting her family to seek help for medical attention. On presentation at our hospital, Ummi was evaluated and diagnosed with Peptic Ulcer Disease, Malaria, Enteric Fever, Anemia, and Conjuctivitis.
Medical history
Ummi Mohammed fell ill with red eyes, fever, cough, stomach pain, and weakness. She could no longer help at home or attend Islamiyya. Her parents couldn’t afford treatment, but Helpster Charity stepped in and took her to the hospital. She was diagnosed with conjunctivitis, malaria with enteric fever, peptic ulcer disease, and anemia. With proper care and medication, Ummi recovered well. "I’m so thankful to Helpster," she said. "They paid for my treatment and gave me hope again."
Prognosis
Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) is favorable with proper use of proton pump inhibitors and eradication of H. pylori if present. Malaria + Enteric Fever has good prognosis with timely antimalarial and antibiotic treatment; delays may lead to complications. Anemia depends on the cause; nutritional and infection-related anemia generally improves with iron therapy and supportive care. Conjunctivitis: Excellent prognosis; most cases resolve with appropriate topical treatment or supportive care depending on the cause.
