Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About pulmonology

Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils, which are two oval-shaped pads of tissue located at the back of the throat. If not treated properly, especially in cases of recurrent or severe infection, it can lead to complications such as abscess formation (peritonsillar abscess), difficulty breathing or swallowing, and the spread of infection to other parts of the body. In extreme cases, untreated tonsillitis can result in serious conditions like rheumatic fever or kidney inflammation, which can cause long-term health problems

Background

Abdullah Al Mafi, a 10-year-old student from a very poor family, has been suffering from severe throat pain and fever for the past five months. His father, Ershad Ali, a day laborer earning only 6,000 Taka per month, struggled to afford his initial treatment and had to delay visiting a doctor due to financial hardship. After finally being diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis, the doctor advised immediate surgery, but the family cannot afford the high costs involved. If Abdullah does not receive the necessary operation soon, he risks serious complications such as difficulty breathing, recurrent infections, or even life-threatening systemic infections that could endanger his life. The family is desperately seeking help at Mother Clinic to ensure his health and future.

Medical history

Abdullah Al Mafi was admitted to the hospital on July 11, 2025, with Tonsillitis. On the same day, doctor conducted Tonsillectomy. After two days, he was discharged on July 12, 2025, in good health. Her father and mother came to the hospital to receive her. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her father was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Prognosis

Abdullah Al Mafi, a 10-year-old with chronic tonsillitis, requires surgical removal of the inflamed tonsils to prevent recurrent infections and potential complications such as airway obstruction or systemic infection. Prompt surgery is essential to alleviate his symptoms and reduce the risk of further health issues. Delaying the procedure could lead to worsening of his condition and more severe health risks.
