Firdausi A., 8

Firdausi is living with her parents in a very small community of Toro, a district of Bauchi State. She just clocked 8. She runs errands for her mother. She attends one of their community schools. Firdausi became sick on one faithful day and couldn't even go to school, something like that has never happened before. The mother became very worried, no money in the house to even get drugs at the chemist. A fellow told her about Helpster Charity, she became very happy and decided to visit Albishir for her daughter to get proper medical attention. On presentation at our hospital, Abdul was evaluated and diagnosed with Malaria, Enteric Fever, and Lower Respiratory Tract Infection.

In an effort to link up with people who deserves medical support from vulnerable background, Firdausi happened to meet the criteria, hence was given full medical support at Albishir Clinic. She was diagnosed with lower respiratory tract infection, malaria and enteric fever. Antimalarial drugs, antibiotics and medication for respiratory infection was prescribed. She was administered all medications as directed, soon she started respiraton without stress, fever is long and appetite resumed. She stay few days for observation. She is thankful as well as her mother for the support given by Helpster Charity.

All three are common in tropical regions and require early diagnosis and treatment to prevent serious complications. Delays in treatment can lead to complications like pneumonia, intestinal damage, or severe malaria. Recovery is faster with good nutrition, supportive care, and adherence to medications. Firdausi is likely to recover well because her case is still in the early stage.
