Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

A cheerful and playful 2yr old boy who likes spending his time playing with his toys and playing running games. Neighbors know Israel with his shrieking voice whenever he is playing. This shrieking voice has not been heard for the past few days when he has been down with abdominal pains; was taken to the hospital with history of abdominal pain and discomfort, fever, and diarrhea. On examination ill-looking. On examination of abdomen: distended, no organomegaly.

Medical history

Israel underwent an examination, and his blood sample was sent to the lab for testing. The results confirmed the presence of malaria parasites and indicated signs of moderate anemia. He was prescribed medication for malaria and a syrup to help increase his blood levels

Prognosis

Deathrate of known malaria cases is approx. 3% worldwide. If someone with untreated malaria develops gastroenteritis due to a separate bacterial or viral infection, the combination of both conditions can be especially dangerous
