Background
Mst. Kakuli Begum, a housewife married to a day laborer, has endured a life of hardship. Her heart longs to deliver a healthy baby, a dream shattered twice before when her first two children, born at home, tragically passed away shortly after birth due to severe bleeding. Burdened by this painful past and a history of two subsequent C-sections, she now faces her fifth pregnancy knowing another C-section is medically necessary to avoid a life-threatening uterine rupture that could endanger both her and her unborn child. Despite their best efforts, her family, with seven members crammed into a relative's home and no land of their own, simply cannot afford the crucial surgery, leaving their hopes for a healthy, new beginning hanging by a thread. Without Helpster's aid, Mst. Kakuli Begum faces a grim reality where she must risk her own life and that of her baby to give birth, a devastating outcome for a family that has already suffered so much loss.
Medical history
Mst Kakuli Begum was admitted to the hospital on August 01, 2025, with two previous C-section. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on August 06, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. Prognosis
A third Cesarean section is recommended after two prior C-sections, especially given the patient's history of two home births that tragically resulted in the death of both babies within 24 hours of delivery. Due to this high-risk obstetric history, a repeat C-section is the safest and most standard practice. Proceeding with a vaginal birth would significantly increase the risk of severe complications, such as a uterine rupture or placental issues, which could threaten the lives of both the mother and the baby. Therefore, a planned Cesarean section is medically necessary to ensure a safe delivery.
