Kibet is the third-born in a family of five, living with his single mother who supports the family through a small-scale vegetable business, earning less than 300 shillings a day to cover some basic needs. Kibet was hospitalized in the ward for five days due to difficulty in breathing, persistent coughing, and episodes of vomiting. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and received appropriate medication and supportive treatment. His condition gradually improved, and he was discharged in stable condition. A follow-up phone call later confirmed that he is now doing well.

Severe pneumonia is a life threatening condition if not treated on time, it could resulted to death mostly in children, kibet responded well on treatment therefore prognosis is good.
