Joyce Selina is a 14-year-old girl residing at a Children's Home. She is a cheerful and lively young girl who aspires to become a teacher in the future. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, singing, and listening to music. Joyce was taken in by a kind-hearted well-wisher who found her living on the streets of Nairobi at a young age, and she was later placed at a Children’s Home. She had been in good health until two days ago when she began experiencing itching and noticed a change in the color of her urine. She reported these symptoms to the matron, along with a burning sensation during urination that had lasted for three days, lower abdominal pains (LAPs) ongoing for two months, and a persistent productive cough which was also associated with chest pain. She was assessed by a doctor and diagnosed with acute bronchitis and an infection.

Joyce presented with itchiness, lower abdominal pain lasting two months, a burning sensation during urination for three days, and a non-productive cough. She was examined at Rheemah Hospital by our medical doctor and diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI). Treatment was promptly initiated, and Joyce responded well, leading to her discharge. Her guardian reported that she has fully recovered and has returned to school to continue her studies.

Prognosis is good. Joyce presented with itching and lower abdominal pains that had persisted for two months, a burning sensation during urination for three days, and a productive cough.
