After medical evaluation, she was diagnosed with pneumonia, a serious lung infection, along with a gastrointestinal infection causing diarrhea. To treat the pneumonia, she was prescribed amoxiclav, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and metronidazole to manage the gut infection contributing to the diarrhea. She was also given paracetamol to reduce fever and discomfort, and cetirizine to relieve congestion and allergic symptoms. With close monitoring, adequate hydration, and consistent medication, Neila gradually began to recover—her breathing improved, the fever subsided, the diarrhea resolved, and her energy returned. After completing her treatment, she made a full recovery and was soon back to her happy, active self.

Nelia has been diagnosed and given treatment to alleviate her symptoms and better her health. However if left untreated, pneumonia can lead to serious and potentially life-threatening complications such as respiratory failure, sepsis, lung abscesses, and low oxygen levels, especially in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Timely treatment is essential to prevent these outcomes and support full recovery.
