Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Kumari Madhuri Roy is 37 weeks of single viable pregnancy with breech position. Breech presentation is a condition where the baby is positioned in the uterus with its pelvis or feet facing downward instead of the head, which is the normal position for delivery. If not treated or managed properly, it can lead to complications such as birth trauma, cord prolapse, asphyxia, or even stillbirth during delivery.

Background

Kumari Madhuri Roy, a kind and determined housewife, lives in a crowded tin-shed home with her husband, child, and nine other family members. Her husband is a seasonal day laborer in Dhaka, struggling to earn barely 5000–6000 BDT a month, which is hardly enough to feed the entire household, let alone cover medical expenses. Despite her hardships, Madhuri dreams of educating her child and giving them a better future. Now at 37 weeks of pregnancy with a breech baby, her life and her baby’s life are at serious risk if she does not receive urgent treatment—without it, she could face life-threatening complications such as birth trauma or even stillbirth. This family’s poverty and large dependent household make it impossible for them to afford the necessary care.

Medical history

Kumari Madhuri Roy was admitted to the hospital on July25, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on July 30, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Prognosis

Breech presentation, where the baby's bottom or feet are positioned to deliver first instead of the head, is associated with several risk factors, including prematurity, multiple gestations, uterine abnormalities (like fibroids or abnormal shape), placenta previa, and fetal malformations or conditions. That's why it is very urgent to conduct C- Section.
