Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Most. Shanti Khatun, a gentle and hopeful housewife, lives with her husband Jahangir Alam, his elderly parents, and younger brother in a small tin-and-soil house. Jahangir works as a day laborer, barely earning enough to provide food for the five-member family, leaving nothing to cover medical treatment. At 37 weeks of pregnancy with her baby in breech position, Shanti dreams of giving birth to a healthy child, but her condition is dangerous and requires urgent medical care. Without proper treatment, both she and her baby risk severe complications such as birth trauma or even death during delivery. Though the family owns two goats, their poverty and lack of resources make affording this life-saving treatment impossible.

Medical history

Shanti Khatun was admitted to the hospital on July 27, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on August 02, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Prognosis

Breech presentation, where the baby's bottom or feet are positioned to deliver first instead of the head, is associated with several risk factors, including prematurity, multiple gestations, uterine abnormalities (like fibroids or abnormal shape), placenta previa, and fetal malformations or conditions. That's why it is very urgent to conduct C- Section.
