Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Septicemia is bacteria in the blood (bacteremia) that often occurs with severe infections. Also called sepsis, septicemia is a serious, life-threatening response to an infection that may get worse very quickly. Severe malaria, a life-threatening complication of malaria infection, is characterized by organ dysfunction, including impaired consciousness, seizures, circulatory collapse, and respiratory distress. Other key features include severe anemia, metabolic acidosis, acute kidney injury, and abnormal bleeding or disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Early and aggressive treatment is crucial for survival Convulsion is a condition in which muscles contract and relax quickly and cause uncontrolled shaking of the body. Head injuries, high fevers, some medical disorders, and certain drugs can cause convulsions. They may also occur during seizures caused by epilepsy

Background
Dadaus is his mother’s only child. His mother lives with epilepsy, and his father left in search of work but has never returned. They live in a modest two-room mud house that once belonged to his late grandmother. With no source of income, his mother relies entirely on Dadaus’s grandfather, who works as a casual laborer to support them. One evening, his mother noticed that Dadaus ate very little of his supper, which was unusual for him. Later that night, he developed a fever and began sweating excessively. By morning, Dadaus started convulsing, prompting his mother and grandfather to rush him to Siaya County Referral Hospital for emergency care.
Medical history
Dadaus presented to the hospital with complaints of fever, convulsions, and general body weakness. His lab test returned positive for malaria, and he was promptly admitted. He stayed in the ward for two weeks, where he received IV artesunate, Xpen, and gentamycin, among other drugs. He responded well to treatment, and he was discharged on orals. A visit by volunteer confirmed that he had fully recovered and was able to play around .
Prognosis
The prognosis for severe malaria and septicemia, particularly when occurring together, is generally poor with high mortality rates. However, with timely and effective treatment, the prognosis can be significantly improved. Several factors influence the prognosis, including the severity of the malaria infection, the presence and severity of sepsis, and the availability of appropriate medical care
