Background
Bristy Rani, at just 17, and her husband Sumonto, a day laborer, were barely making ends meet, providing for his elderly parents, Renu Bala and Borjo Mohon. Her cherished dream of having a healthy baby was now overshadowed by the grim reality of her breech pregnancy. With no savings and Sumonto's meager daily wage barely covering their food and medicine for the grandparents, the cost of a C-section was an insurmountable mountain. Without the surgery, Bristy's doctor feared a devastating birth, risking not only the baby's life but her own, potentially leaving the family heartbroken and without a mother to care for her firstborn child.
Medical history
Kumari Bristy Rani was admitted to the hospital on September 8, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on September 12, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child.
