Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

At 25, Rohima Akter is a loving mother of three with a simple dream of giving birth to a healthy baby. But at 38 weeks, a sudden lower abdominal pain and decreased fetal movement led to a terrifying diagnosis of fetal distress and oligohydramnios. With her husband, a daily wage laborer, earning just 9,000 taka a month, the cost of a life-saving C-section is an impossible burden for their family of seven, which includes their three children and two elderly parents. Given her history of a previous C-section, delaying this critical surgery risks a catastrophic uterine rupture or the tragic loss of both her and her baby, a devastating outcome that would shatter her family's world forever.

Medical history

After experiencing labor pain and less fetal movement for over 38 weeks, she arrived at our hospital where doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed severe oligohydro amnions with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Prognosis

She had history of 2 vaginal delivery and 1 caesarean section previously and now it is her 4th baby.she experienced labour pain for 6 hrs and less fetal movement. Ultrasonogram shows low amniotic fluid volume and fetal distress. Doctor suggests that she needs immediate caesarean section for better management of this case.
